Official Montgomery County inmate lookup

Find the record. Keep the search private.

AAA does not mirror arrest records or ask you to search through a private form. We take you directly to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s official custody portal.

01 / Search path

Four steps. No middleman database.

Custody information is time-sensitive. Beginning with the source reduces the chance of relying on copied, delayed, or out-of-county records.

Source-aware guideThe Sheriff’s homepage lists the jail roster as its inmate lookup, and its jail page says the roster can be searched by name to determine whether someone is housed in the MCSO jail system.

  1. 01

    Open the county portal

Follow the link marked Official Inmate Lookup. Check that the address begins with jailroster.mctx.org before entering account information.

  2. 02

Sign in or create an account

The live Montgomery County Corrections Public Access Portal currently presents an account sign-in. AAA does not create, receive, or store those credentials.

  3. 03

    Search the complete legal name

Use the most accurate spelling available. Review the official result carefully, including any displayed booking, housing, charge, or bond information.

  4. 04

    Call the right organization

For official custody questions, use the Sheriff’s jail contact. For an eligible surety bond, call AAA with the name and the verified information you can see.

02 / Read with care

A roster result is not legal advice.

Use the official record as a starting point, then route questions to the organization responsible for the answer.

Custody and court records are different

The inmate portal addresses custody. The County Clerk and District Clerk maintain court records. A jail roster should not be used as a substitute for a court docket.

Housing may list Waller County

According to the Sheriff’s FAQ, Montgomery County inmates housed temporarily in Waller County still appear on the Montgomery County roster with that housing location.

Release status can change

The Sheriff says a person no longer appearing on the roster has been released from Montgomery County Jail custody. For questions or uncertainty, contact the jail directly.

Protect account and case details

Keep portal credentials private. Do not email passwords, IDs, payment information, or financial records to AAA through ordinary email.
